We had our first two week appointment last Thursday. Everything still looks great! I passed my glucose test and also my hematocrit and hemoglobin looked good.

Saturday we decided to go out and have some fun. We had some friends throw a little Halloween party.

Kyle decided it would be funny to make it look like Java was nursing the little kitties before I sewed them on my shirt.

This week we are off to North Dakota. We are hoping the weather is nice there for us. We are pretty spoiled here with 50-60 degree weather with it only cooling off to the 40's at night. We did have one afternoon of a few snowflakes falling, but nothing that would stay on the ground.

Week 28

We had our last monthly Dr. Appt yesterday and now we start to go every two weeks. We are now at week 28. I had to drink the yummy orange drink for the gluscose test and then get my blood tested for gestational diabetes and they also checked my hemoglobin and hematocrit levels. I was kind of scared of what it was going to taste like but I actually liked it (a lot). So many women try to say how bad it is but it wasn't. They were going to call today if there were any problems with my blood work, but I have not heard from anyone so all must be great! My belly is mearsuring at 30 inches and her heartbeat was 140 bpm. Margie said everything looks great. We will see her one more time before we make our trip to ND. We are getting pretty excited to go back, minus seeing any snow while we are there. Hope you all are doing great.

25 Weeks down, 15 to go!

We are now 25 weeks along and only have 15 to go! We are both excited and getting nervous at the same time. We had another apointment today and everything looked great. My belly grew 5 inches in the last 4 weeks. You can actually tell that I am pregnant now instead of just looking like I was getting chunkier. We have another appointment in three weeks where I get to drink that yummy drink and take the glucose test. After that we start to have appointments every two weeks. She is a kicking machine and likes to move around a lot in the morning and when I get home from work. We will try to keep you all updated with the latest and greatest as the weeks go by but once November hits things are going to go by quick I think with traveling back to the Dakotas and the holidays following. Take care.

Sorry it has been quite a while since our last post. Without having an actual child to take pictures of and things to tell you about her there just isn't a lot to post about right now. We have been keeping pretty busy with work and resting. I can't believe it, but we only have 15 1/2 weeks to go before our bundle of joy will be here! The time has been flying by. Once the holidays hit I am sure the time will go by even faster. We are heading home to Jamestown Nov 5th-11th. We are both looking forward to traveling home for pleasure instead of a tragedy for once. Hopefully the weather will be nice to us since we are not used to that cold weather they have there. We will have to remember to pack a coat and maybe some gloves. We do have an appointment for the baby this week on Thursday so we will update you again then. Take care all and we will be seeing you soon.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!

We had our 19 week ultrasound and were surprised with a girl. Here are pictures of some of the things we got to see. Enjoy!

This is her profile.

Here is her hand.

Here it shows the "hamburger". He he. Aka it is a girl!

Here are her feet.

Here are the pictures of the baby furniture as I promised. The room color is really an olive green color but the lighting and flash makes it look yellow. I am also going to fill in a couple of pictures of our "kids" right now. They are Java (siamese), Priest (gray), and Darth Tater (black).

Just a little update

We had another check-up on July 22nd. Everything looked great! We heard the heartbeat, which was in the 160's (normal). We also checked with Margie to see if it would be ok to fly in the beginning of November so we can come back to ND and see all our family and friends and she gave us the thumbs up. Three weeks later and we would of been out of luck.
We received our crib, dresser, and changing table on Monday and put it together. It only took us about 5 hours. I will post a pic of it when we bust out the camera. We had already painted the baby room about a month and a half ago. I know we have about 5 1/2 months before we need anything, but we are a little excited. Ok, I am a little excited and Kyle just follows my lead. We have an ultrasound scheduled for Aug 12th and we will hopefully know what "brand" we are having and will share with all of you.

Here is the picture of our last ultrasound.

Getting started

Since we are adding to the family I decided we should start a blog for those of you who are far away to keep you updated. I am now 15 weeks along and feeling great for the most part. We had an ultrasound at week 12 and everything looked great.
